Today is World Food Day. Each year on October 16, World Food Day highlights approaches to ending hunger and celebrates the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945. This year’s theme is Agricultural Cooperatives: Key to Feeding the World. Focusing on cooperatives reflects the decision of the UN General Assembly to designate 2012 the International Year of Cooperatives. Last year’s theme was Food Prices: From Crisis to Stability.

We all deserve a seat at the table. Think about where your food comes from and all the work it takes on the part of countless others to get it to you.
